   Yes you have to have liability insurance in all states to legally drive a car on the public roads. Depending on your state, it’s possible to drive a car off the lot without insurance but it’s not very smart. You could be liable for a very large amount of money in an accident. Also, if you get stopped by a cop, some states have some pretty hefty fines for driving without insurance.

   You’ll want to research this some more….

   no you can’t. you need an insurance before you can drive it out of the lot. does not matter what state, it is illegal to drive w/o one.

   yes, you need an insurance to be legal, regardless of state.

   You must have car insurance first. If you drive off the lot and have an accident or just get stopped by the police, you’ll either be in big trouble or get a ticket.

   Anyone selling you a car should be understanding about you needing to get insurance first. If you have insurance on a different car already, all you may need to do is talk live (do NOT leave a message!) with your insurance agent or company, explain what is happening, and they will tell you what to do. They may say you’re covered, or that you have to pay first.

   No you cannot drive it until/unless it is insured. Unless you live in New Hampshire or Wisconsin, you must have automobile insurance, so yes, you must have insurance in Ca. …………..You are welcome
